Windows 8 users can now experience the new features that Viber 3.1 has introduced to other platforms. The new Viber also adds enhancements to existing features as well as bug fixes.
The updated version is now available on Windows Store and can be downloaded for those running Window 8 and above. The highlight of this new update is the introduction of a new sticker menu. It’s now easier for users to download free or paid stickers and add them to conversations with your Viber contacts.
Other additional new features include:
- Show user’s online status which can also display the last time they were seen online with the ‘Last online’ feature.
- Display in the conversation window if a sent message has been ‘Seen’ by the other party.
- When sharing a new photo or video, you can now add a description to the file before pasting it into the conversation window.
- If you happen to have groups in your existing Viber account on your current device, they will be synced onto the new device.
- The thumbnails for videos and images in chat window appear larger now.
- There will be an indication when a new message comes in while in a conversation.
Apart from the features and enhancements, the Viber team has also added support for 13 additional languages. Go ahead, download the app now to your device and give it a spin. This will also help your smartphone as you won’t have to keep checking it for messages.
